Škocjanske jame z Jakobom / Škocjan caves with Jakob

Prejšnji vikend naju je obiskal 'Sveti Jakob', prijatelj iz Argentine, moja ameriško-hispansko;irska sorodna duša. Deliva si mnoge karakterne lastnosti, med njimi najbolj očitne že skoraj zapriseženo-nenamerno zamujanje na raznorazne dogodke, naklonjenost do socialnih družbeni ureditev in matematično-biološki znanstveni pristop.

[en] A very nice surprise, 'St. Jakob' from Argentina, a great guy and almost my South-hemisphere equivalent has visited us last weekend. I share many charachteristic liknesses with him; like the always-being-unintentionaly-late ability, social-awarness capability and of course a biologically-mathematical scientific appeal.

[en] Being true to our virtues, we arrived late to the area of the Škocjan Caves. We joined the turist group under the black pines next to the entrance of the cave (the same entrance that was apparrently used by Dante to paint the portait of the descent to hell from this world).

Moj drugi obisk v Škocjanskih jamah me ni pustil hladnega. Enostavna monumentalnost. Ogromna dvorana v katero reže reka Reka. Izrezane v navpične stene so mnoge poti, katerih aktualnost označujejo jamske luči. Morda malce nenavadno visoko, toda izredno lepo postavljen Cerkvenikov most. Brez besed, samo ogled.

[en] My second impression of Škocjan Caves stayed true to my previous. Simply monumental. Vast underground chambers, a gigantic hall which fllor embeds the river Reka, vertical walls with numerous carved in paths - light marks the current way. Highly curious is the placement of the high passing bridge, but the view from and at it is fantastic. Fewer words, go and see.
