FGLF 24.

Kmalu po liffu smo v Ljubljani, Celju in Kopru dočakali še otvoritev 24. festivala gejevskega in lezbičnega filma (fglf). Kot je na eni izmed okroglih miz povedal literat Brane Mozetič, je to najstarejši filmski festival te 'branže' v EU.

Na FGLF sva bila letos že tretje leto in vsako leto nama je uspelo, da sva podrla kakšno obzorje. Vsako leto bolj pogrešam prodajo kart v 'pravi' predprodaji (in ne 'predprodaji' ob začetku festivala ...), saj obisk festivala (skupaj s kvaliteto in diverziteto prikazanih filmov) strumno narašča.

Nekoliko neprijeten začetek pred otvoritvijo se je na koncu spreobrnil v srečno naključje in prav prijeten večer. Pred kinoteko smo se v vrsti za navadne plebeljce namreč precej načakali, medtem ko so se akreditacije zavlekle krepko v predpisane pol ure pred predstavo, tc tc. Pet minut do predstave sem dosegel nezanemarljivo pozicijo, odkod se je že šlišalo elektronsko šumenje blagajniškega termoprinterja. Pred mano prgišče, za mano vsaj še štirideset nesrečnikov. Iz bara je nekdo ponujal samo samcato vstopnico naprodaj, v čakanju pa same skupine. Ker je Nina prvi dan ostala doma, sem se spet šlepal na srečo. In takoj po nakupu osamele vstopnice je tudi gospa z blagajne potegnila roleto.

Tokrat je čast otvoritve FGLF pripadala simpatični dami brez dlake na jeziku, ki se večino časa predstavlja kot Claudette, včasih pa tudi kot Claude. Film o njeni življenjski zgodbi je v Kinoteki predstavila skupaj z režiserko Sylvie Cachin.

Ogledano:

HOMO-RISK (2008), eksperimentalni film kolektiva Vstaja Lezbosov, pogled v metropolitansko nismo-še-tam-ampak-mislimo-da-smo-že strpnost. Kratki film je kar precej tematsko nasičen. Domov sem odnesel sporočilo, da smo Slovenci čisti čistuni, in se s tem celo hvalimo (obmetavamo). Nekaj must-see zavbavno-informativnih minutk, ki lahko dobijo tudi čisto resen predznak. Vstaja Lezbosov naj se le še ponovi, v obsežnejšem formatu.

ŠE EN GEJEVSKI DEL - PODIVJANI GEJI (Another Gay Sequel, Gays Gone Wild, 2008), drugi del komedije Še en gejevski film (Another gay movie, 2006). V filmu v se vse vrti okrog tekmovanja, v resnici pa pravzaprav tekmujeta ameriški in gejevski smisel za pretiravanje. Zasnova sploh sledi prvinam klasične ameriške scenaristične šole, kjer uvodu tipa mi-smo-cari sledi zaplet v obliki kdo-je-boljši, razplet 1 sestoji iz lastnega razodetja junakom o pravih-vrilnah, v razpletu 2 pa isti vseeno zmagajo kot najboljši... Že videno, in v svojem prizadevanju za ubernekorektno in superdupersmešno na nekaterih mestih že prav stimulativno za čeljustne masetre.

S CLAUDETTE (2008) odpadejo običajna predlačkanja o spolnosti, spolni usmerjenosti in družini. Claudette je fant iz Maroka, mladoletna prostitutka, arhitekt, mož in oče dveh otrok, borka za pravice prostitutk, aktivistka za varno spolnost, ... Claudette je Claude in Claude je Claudette, saj ima moške in ženske spolne organe. Izjemna zgodba o jekleni osebnosti. Če spoznate Claudette filma ne potrebujete več, a če vidite film, jo morate spoznati.

V FETIŠISTu (Devotee, 2008) se sprašujemo, kdo je zares hendikepiran; Herve, rojen brez dlani in stopal; akrotomofil, ki Herveja poišče preko spleta; ali mladenič na koncu filma, ki potoži, da mu težave povzroča njegovo 11'' one.

V DŽIHADu ZA LJUBEZEN (A Jihad For Love, 2007) spoznamo boj gejev in lezbijk za obstanek v muslimanskem okolju, kjer vlada širiatsko pravo. Tudi v sekuliranih državah pa se pričevalci spopadajo z muslimanstvom, saj bi večina rada ostala zvesta svoji veri, čeprav učenjaška interpretacija Korana zavrača homoseksualnost.

KENEDI SE ŽENI (Kenedi se ženi, 2007). Tokrat se Kenedi sooči z velikimi dolgovi, ki so nastali ob gradnji družinske hiše. Zadeve se loti po svoje in se zaplete z več 'sponzorji' naenkrat, in tako se njegovi problemi kar množijo. Zabavno in sproščeno.


[en] Soon after the liffe, Ljubljana, Celje & Koper screened the films of the 24th Gay and Lesbian FIlm Festival, the oldest festival of it's kind in Europe. We had been going to the Ljubljana G&L Film Festival for three years now, and each year we broadened our horizon and turf.

Every year I wish the tickets would be sould in advanced. This year I got especially lucky at the first screening. Somebody from the VIPs was offering a remaining ticket and since everybody else came in a group (Nina was sleepy and stayed home), it was just perfect for me.

The festival was opened by maddame Claudette, also known as Claude. We had the pleasure of seeing her lifestory, as it was captured by the movie-dirrector Sylvie Cachin.

We saw:

HOMO-RISK (2008), a Slovenian experimental short film, an overview of the metropolitan narrow-mindness. The thread of topics is qiute dense and maybe they each deserve it's own filmroll? But it's still worth seeing, as you can catch a glance of the atmosphere here. The movie was made by the Insurrection of Lesbos collective.

ANOTHER GAY SEQUEL, GAYS GONE WILD (2008), is the squel :D of the comedy ANOTHER GAY MOVIE (2006). Actually, this is way down my list. Very american-style, everything is about competitions and being the best and stuff. Too much effort has been made to make everything totaly ubercontraversive and superfunny. Already seen and not even original, just repainted with pink.

CLAUDETTE (2008) is the one who will make you forget about your well sorted genre issues, saexual orinetation and even family categories. Claude is a boy from Marocco; Claudette is a prostitute; Claude is an architect, husband and father of two; Claudette is a fihter for the rights of prostitutes and a safe sex activist, ... Claudette is CLaude and Claude is Claudette, though she has both female and male genitalia. It's an extraordinary story about an exceptionaly strong persone. When you see the movie, you just have to meet her.

The DEVOTEE (2008) raises the issue of hendicap. Who is really hendicaped in this movie? Is it Herve, born withouth the end of his legs and arms. Is it the acrotomophilic man that contact's Herve ower the internet? Is it the guy in the end of the movie and his 11" you-know-what that is apparently the source of all his problems...

A JIHAD FOR LOVE (2007) shows us the troubles of individual gays and lesbians in a muslim environment. The most of them are stuglling to stay true to their fatih, though the scolar's interpretation of the Qur'an rejects homosexuality.

In KENEDI IS GETTING MARRIED (Kenedi se ženi, 2007) Kenedi has a new line of troubles. His family has a huge debt after building a new house. Kenedi decides to take matters (matresses) into his own hands. Soon he is offering his sexual services for money. At the end of the day, his troubles remain. Fun and funny.
